I think this was a great idea to use "fantasy fashion and portraits" by testing it out on yourself. It is always interesting for me to see self portraits as there it shows how the photographer wants themselves portrayed subconsciously. There are 6 very different and all singularly interesting images which all could have a story behind them or represent a part of you. My favourite image is number 5 as it looks like a lot of work has gone into the preperation of the image and although it is simple, it is very creative, haunting and surreal.
In terms of the exhibition, I think you did a great job of choosing the space on the wall, it matched your images and added to the feeling received for the viewer. I think the ordering was spot on, by going dark to light it almost told a story and I was guessing that was the story you was trying to portray.
The selection of images shows your use of imagination, creativity, technical ability, post production skills and use of narrative. Overall, this was one of my favourite areas of the exhibition.
these images really showed off your post production than anyone else's in the exhibition in my opinion. A lot of thought has gone into these images as i have noticed throughout the weeks. Even though i think photo number 5 is one of the strongest i just wish it was a closer shot like the rest of the images so the series twill be flowing from one head shot to the other. You are a great photographer and good luck!
Strong stuff Michal! The first thing an artist has to do is to decide who they are by exploring their identity through their art practice. You have started this process well; you have to decide how long you do this before you know what it is you want to say with your work. Good luck!
The first thing i will say is that you managed to achieve an amazing relation between the photographer and the model. Being a model and photographing your self makes you explore your personality and seeing the real you through the lens. Very powerful portraits, same person but in a same time so different. Great lighting skills and perfect composition. Great job Michal, very impressive.
These images that you have produced are amazing Michal. Your images has really showed how creative and skilled photographer you are. Your images explores the concept of a self-portraiture and yourself as a person, they are very striking and powerful self-portraits this is due to your lighting and composition. Well done Michal, your gonna be a great photographer one day.
An excellent showcase of your skills and talents, and communicates to me that you are an individual brimming with ideas and have the drive within you to achieve all of them, the prints were impressive in size and the whole exhibit had a huge impact (and a prime spot as everyone saw your work first!).
